with a 7-speed CVT automatic transmission. You have the facility to drive the car ina relaxed, fully automatic mode or, if the mood takesyou, to change gear using the racing car-inspired,steering wheel mounted, paddle shift.
All HR-V engines have idle stop, which turns off the engine when you come to a standstill. It then re-starts automatically when it's time to go helping to decrease CO2 emissions from the petrol engine. By pressing the ECON button, fuel economy receives a further boost. Once activated, the transmission and engine are optimised to conserve fuel. You might not notice the difference straight away, but you will when you visit the pumps a bit less often.
